Rilke Songs – Gernot Blume & Julie Spencer, neue CD
Die Vertonung von Rilke-Gedichten ist zum Eckstein meiner Dichterlieder geworden, die mittlerweile von Andreas Gryphius bis zu Ingeborg Bachmann reichen. Wie kein anderer nimmt Rilke für mich am Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts Vergangenheit und Zukunft seiner Welt in sich auf, findet Metaphern und Stimmungsbilder für den enormen Weltenwandel, der uns beispielhaft auch heute noch helfen kann, die Verwandlungen unserer Zeit zu verstehen. Im Zentrum seiner Betrachtungen steht zwar stets der einzelne Mensch – Rilke war ein radikaler Individualist – aber immer in einem Spannungsverhältnis zu sich selbst oder im Zusammenhang mit einer “Außenwelt,” im Ringen mit Gott, mit der Gesellschaft, mit den Dingen. Er ist der Dichter der Abgründe des Inneren, der Ernüchterung angesichts der äußeren Entwicklungen und der Zerrissenheit in der Sehnsucht nach Versöhnung. Rilke ist zeitlos modern. Seine Gedankenwelt ist ein Kosmos, die Tiefe seiner Bilder ein Universum, das immer wieder neu erschlossen und gedeutet werden will. Die Komposition dieser Lieder umfing mich mit dem Sog seiner einzigartigen Sprache.
